Pannel discussion

Today in the afternoon, there was the big penal discussion in the City Hall of Karlsruhe. As Guests were invited Reinhard Bütikhofer (Green Party), Johannes Jung (Social Democrats) and Daniel Caspary (Chitsian Democrats). The participants had a lot of difficult questions.

The main topics were – of course - the demands of the Future Treaty. Especially the topics age of voting, engagement and involment of young people were discussed controversially. The most discussed question concernd the voting age. The participants demand a lowering of the voting age to 16 years. It was supported by Reinhard Bütikhofer and Johannes Jung. The penal discussion was moderated by Friedrich Köckert, President of International Young Naturefriends.

The discussions proved that young people have their own opinion and that they are able to stand up for it. Hopefully the politicians have understood the message. We hope that they will take the demands seriously and will try to realize them!
